Job Requirements & Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints, layouts and construction specifications
- Measure, mark and cut lumber or other building materials
- Assemble structural components using suitable tools and fastening methods
- Complete framing, rough carpentry or finish work based on project requirements
- Keep tools, materials and active work areas organized
- Identify installation concerns and make necessary adjustments or repairs
Skills:
- Ability to follow project plans, measurements and crew instructions
- Accurate cutting, shaping and preparation of construction materials
- Practical problem-solving during active fieldwork
- Ability to work productively with supervisors, carpenters and other trades
Qualifications:
- Reliable attendance and consistent work habits
- Willingness to learn new carpentry methods and job site procedures
Education:
- High School diploma or GED
