Job Requirements & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret blueprints, layouts and construction specifications
  • Measure, mark and cut lumber or other building materials
  • Assemble structural components using suitable tools and fastening methods
  • Complete framing, rough carpentry or finish work based on project requirements
  • Keep tools, materials and active work areas organized
  • Identify installation concerns and make necessary adjustments or repairs

Skills:

  • Ability to follow project plans, measurements and crew instructions
  • Accurate cutting, shaping and preparation of construction materials
  • Practical problem-solving during active fieldwork
  • Ability to work productively with supervisors, carpenters and other trades

Qualifications:
