Job Requirements & Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Review blueprints, layouts and project specifications before starting assigned work
- Measure, mark and prepare lumber or other construction materials
- Assemble structural components using appropriate tools and fastening methods
- Complete framing, rough carpentry or finish work according to project needs
- Keep tools, materials and active workspaces organized
- Identify field issues and complete necessary repairs or adjustments
Skills:
- Ability to understand construction plans, dimensions and job instructions
- Accurate measuring, cutting and assembly of building materials
- Practical judgment when resolving construction challenges
- Ability to work productively with supervisors, crew members and other trades
Qualifications:
- Reliable attendance and consistent work habits
- Willingness to learn new carpentry techniques and job site procedures
Education:
- High School diploma or GED
