Job Requirements & Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints, layouts and project specifications
- Measure, mark and prepare lumber or other construction materials
- Assemble structural components using appropriate tools and fastening methods
- Complete framing, rough carpentry or finish work based on the assigned position
- Maintain orderly work areas and properly manage construction debris
- Identify installation concerns and make necessary repairs or adjustments
Skills:
- Ability to follow construction drawings, measurements and instructions
- Accurate cutting, shaping and preparation of building materials
- Practical problem-solving on active job sites
- Ability to work efficiently with supervisors, carpenters and other trades
Qualifications:
- Dependable attendance and productive work habits
- Willingness to learn new carpentry techniques and job site procedures
Education:
- High School diploma or GED
