Job Requirements & Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Review blueprints, layouts and construction specifications
- Measure, mark and cut lumber or other building materials
- Assemble structural elements using appropriate tools and fasteners
- Complete rough, framing or finish carpentry based on project needs
- Maintain organized work areas and properly manage construction debris
- Recognize installation issues and make necessary field adjustments
Skills:
- Understanding of plans, measurements and construction instructions
- Accurate cutting, shaping and preparation of materials
- Ability to solve practical problems during active construction
- Productive teamwork with supervisors, carpenters and other trades
Qualifications:
- Consistent attendance and dependable work habits
