Job Requirements & Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints, layouts and project specifications
- Measure and prepare lumber or other construction materials
- Assemble structural components using appropriate tools and fastening methods
- Perform framing, rough carpentry or finish carpentry based on the assigned role
- Organize tools and maintain a clean working area
- Identify construction issues and complete necessary adjustments or repairs
Skills:
- Ability to understand construction plans and job site instructions
- Accurate measuring, cutting and material handling
- Practical decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work safely and productively as part of a construction crew
Qualifications:
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn new carpentry methods and job site procedures
