Job Requirements & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Read blueprints, layouts and project specifications
  • Measure and prepare lumber or other construction materials
  • Assemble structural components using appropriate tools and fastening methods
  • Perform framing, rough carpentry or finish carpentry based on the assigned role
  • Organize tools and maintain a clean working area
  • Identify construction issues and complete necessary adjustments or repairs

Skills:

  • Ability to understand construction plans and job site instructions
  • Accurate measuring, cutting and material handling
  • Practical decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work safely and productively as part of a construction crew

Qualifications:

  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
