Job Requirements & Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Review blueprints, measurements and project plans before beginning work
- Measure, cut and prepare lumber or other building materials
- Assemble walls, floors, roof systems and additional structural components
- Perform framing, rough carpentry or finish work based on the assigned position
- Keep tools, materials and work areas organized throughout the project
- Recognize installation problems and make appropriate corrections in the field
Skills:
- Ability to understand construction drawings and instructions
- Accurate measuring, cutting and material preparation
- Practical problem-solving on active job sites
- Ability to work productively with crew members and other trades
Qualifications:
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Interest in learning and improving construction carpentry skills
Education:
- High School diploma or GED
