Job Requirements & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Review blueprints, measurements and project plans before beginning work
  • Measure, cut and prepare lumber or other building materials
  • Assemble walls, floors, roof systems and additional structural components
  • Perform framing, rough carpentry or finish work based on the assigned position
  • Keep tools, materials and work areas organized throughout the project
  • Recognize installation problems and make appropriate corrections in the field

Skills:

  • Ability to understand construction drawings and instructions
  • Accurate measuring, cutting and material preparation
  • Practical problem-solving on active job sites
  • Ability to work productively with crew members and other trades

Qualifications:

  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
  • Interest in learning and improving construction carpentry skills

  • High School diploma or GED
