Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and plans
- Measure, cut, and shape lumber into multiple structural components
- Assemble the framework using nails, screws, and fasteners
- Verify final work meets original specifications and is in compliance with building codes and regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized job site and dispose of waste material properly
- Troubleshoot any problems and make repairs or adjustments where needed
- Build exterior walls, roofs and stairwells
- Rough interior walls and floors
- Install cabinetry and doors
Skills:
- Proficiency in reading blueprints
- Ability to measure, cut and shape wood
- Critical thinking
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
Qualifications:
- Sense of hustle
- Willingness to learn
- Positive outlook
Education Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
